Pain meds rant...

We did a walk through of L&D yesterday and I was liking everything I was hearing. Minimum of one hour off the bat skin to skin, delayed cors cutting if requested, all of that. Then she asked what I was planning on for pain management. I said I'd like to stay away from the epidural and if needed get IV pain meds. The answer seemed more like an ultimatum. Was told that if I were to get their pain !meds IV that baby would have to be taken away and monitored so we wouldn't get the s2s....like I said, seems like an ultimatum, get an epi or absolute nothing to be able to get the skin 2 skin or else get IV meds and not be able to get it. No I don't remember what tjhe med is, but its a newer one I haven't heard of yet.
