Provera ovulation

So my dr prescribed me provera last month for 10 days to help me ovulate I have pcos I took the provera for 10 days I didn't take ovulation tests I just had sex every other day for the 10 days I got my cycle right after the 10 days was over with my cycle lasted for 7 days which it's normally last longer and I have been taking metformin now the last couple of days I have not been feeling well should I take a test or wait
