What can I eat? I love going out for dinner in SF.

I understand the basics but don't know where to draw the line... Don't eat "raw" food, eat healthier, don't eat unpasteurized food, don't drink alcohol, etc...
I live in SF and my husband and I love to eat at nice restaurants occasionally. Every time I look at a menu I'm overwhelmed.
Can I eat octopus in a ceviche, is it considered raw? Can I eat my eggs medium boiled or poached, is that considered raw? Can I make my own fresh juices if I can't have the juice stands spiniach juice? If I can't, why can I eat a spinach salad? What cheeses can I eat other than boring cheddar and jacks of the world? Is the sandwich meat in a panini considered cooked? How rare can my steak be (I'm a medium rare girl)? Can I eat foie gras, prosciutto on my pizza, slightly rare halibut steaks? I mean I have so many questions and there are so many grey areas.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a website or a source to help answer my "first world" eating concerns?...
