Your thoughts and experience with ... PITOCIN??

Question

What are some of your thoughts and experience with pitocin and being induced? FTM and it looks like that is the option I will be facing in the next 2 weeks. No sign of baby coming out on her own. She too comfortable in there! LOL

Dear god please be signed up for an epidural because Jesus Christ that mess hurts bad! It feels like Thor is smashing his mallet at you rapidly with no breaks. I cried. A lot. Oh dear god I hate that stuff.

I was induced and I tried to go as long as I could with the epidural, but the pain was too much. I got it and the rest of my labor was a breeze. I just talked, laughed and hung out with family until it was baby time. It also didn't take long for her to come once they started my pitocin. I felt some pressure and they were like "yep, it's baby time!" I couldn't feel anything at all when she was coming out. It was 100% pain free and she was out in 6 pushes.

I was induced with pitocen with my first. It hurt but i have nothing to compare it to, i will say at 3 cm after the epidural it was a breeze i pretty much felt nothing, even pushing and her coming out.

My cousin said induced hurts way more, but you can do it. She managed to go natural, no epidural. She was my inspiration to go natural. She had two breech babies with no epidural. One came butt first and the other feet first and her third was induced. I said if she could do it with those things, so can I and I did. However I was not induced so maybe that would've been another story lol my cousin is just a beast at pain

I'll never be induced again. Talk about pain. The contractions alone were painful but bearable. Pitocin kicked it up to where I needed an epidural and then it didn't work but the stronger contractions. I felt my son being born as well as the doctors stitch me up until they finally listened to me that I was feeling every bit of it and not just pressure. Also, thanks to the pitocin, we almost lost our son during labor. It made his heart rate drop and am hour before I was 10cm and ready to push, it dropped from the 160s to the 30s. It was completely traumatizing and next time, I'm going all natural.

Yeah that's one of the things I don't want ...I don't want them to induce me with pitocin I really hope and pray that I just go naturally with my water breaking and can bear the pain and get the baby out ....but it's just I've seen labor go so many different ways of seeing first time moms go fast I've seen them go really slow I seen that epidural and pitocin turn into a C-section God it's stressing me out
