Did you use your high chair?

A family member offered to buy a big item for us but most of them are covered already! We saw a neat 5 in 1 high chair that works from newborn on with the 5 different stages/seats of sitting at the table. A friend said she barely used her high chair, just a booster seat, so should we ask for a more valuable expensive item from family member?
