Castor oil ?

Just don't do it. It isn't worth the risk. Gain patience and use that patience. Baby will come when baby is ready. No need to rush baby's arrival. Castor oil is said to work to induce but the ONLY reason it can induce labor is because it causes severe dehydration. Which, for the record, can cause major harm to you and the baby... Even death. So just don't do it.

No pros. There are only cons to taking castor oil..lol not worth the risk AT ALL. Imagine after going through 38-40 weeks of pregnancy only to try and hurry labor by taking castor oil and then you end up losing your baby. Personally, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. Either wait it out or try SAFE methods!!

When I was pregnant with my daughter I tried it at 40w 2d around 8 pm, shit my brains out like 3 times and around 130 am my water broke! Me and baby were both perfectly fine and healthy. My sister tried it and a couple of my friends did and it did nothing for them.

I took with 2 of my pregnancies.  It ABSOLUTELY  NOTHING. Waste of money & time & it's the worse taste ever & very thick. Makes you gag bad.

I took it 4 days in a row once I was 40 weeks and all it did was make me poop and throw up. My daughter was 10 days late and I was induced. I will not be doing it this time around because it made me feel so sick.

There may be a link to castor oil and bowel stimulation in not only the mother but the baby. If baby passes a bm in the womb the meconium injection is very dangerous and sometimes fatal. I wouldn't personally take that risk since I've known a mother to lose her child from meconium ingestion and it was devastating. I would suggest eating fresh pineapple (especially the core). Don't do it!!! I took it with my first...didn't help with anything besides sending me to the bathroom for the next two days. Plus it tastes terrible!! So not worth it!!!
