He didn't do anything for our anniversary
So my boyfriend and I just had our 2 year anniversary and I've been planning his gifts for months, I'd baked and decorated a special cake to surprise him with at midnight before giving him his actual gift the next day. He had told me that he was surprised I was getting him something because he wasn't getting me anything because he didn't have a lot of money, I told him that it hurt a bit because all I want is something small to show that he cares, something that doesn't even cost money. He made fun of how low my expectation were and asked me what I wanted and that he would try to get it and I told him that I don't want anything like that, I said something simple, just a card that says how you feel about me, maybe a flower or a piece of chocolate but that I wouldn't want him to spend much money on me regardless. So the day comes and he was scheduled for work but he was going to pick me up from a show I was at when he got off and spend the night doing something together and had agreed ahead of time that we'd let him plan what we'd do and he said he wanted to surprise me. He picked me up and he said he just wanted to go home....he didn't want to go do anything and he had said he didn't know if he even wanted to do anything sexual for our anniversary when we got home because he had work in the morning...When we got home I gave him his present and he seemed to like it but then...nothing. He wanted to watch Netflix and then go to sleep. He didn't even get me a card, and this wouldn't have been as disappointing if he hadn't done the same thing on my last two birthdays, no present but said he didn't have money and would get me something later and never did. That's why this year I told him all I wanted was a card telling me how he feels about me, just something to show that he cared...and nothing. I don't know what to do, I can't just tell him that I'm hurt but, I really really am and I feel like he'd get mad at me if he knew that 😔 any advice?
