Anyone doing baby Led weaning?

Curious if some have tried it and liked it or what you think

Sort of. I started baby led weaning with my first son. He was picking up and eating little pieces of food at 6 months but he has a hyper metabolism and needed a higher calorie intake so I started feeding him baby food along with finger foods to make sure he was eating enough. 
My second baby is (almost) 5 months now and I plan to skip baby foods with him he is a chunkster and normal metabolism. So far we have only introduced banana pieces, cooked carrots  and sucking on Apple slices. He is definitely interested in putting foods in his mouth but I'm waiting til he is a little older to introduce more veggies. 
Peas, sweet potatoes and green beans are at the top of my list
