Feeding schedule?

I'm a FTM and I was wondering what you all did for feeding. Did you wake baby up to feed them or just wait and feed on demand? I'm not really sure what would be best. Opinions please!

Waking baby up if they sleep longer then 4 hours. You don't want them loosing weight. Some babies aren't woken up by hunger cues and will sleep through them. This can lead to weight loss. I fed my son on demand and woke him if he slept more then 4 hours.

On demand. Even my dr agrees that's the best thing to do. Just topping them off because it's time to eat is pointless. I eat when I'm hungry. So does baby.

I fed on demand. I only didn't with my last because she would sleep for far too long and was already teeny and couldn't afford to wait. It ended up being the pain meds in my Breast milk making her sleepy so I stopped taking them (rough time 😂).

My son lost to much weight at first and they wanted me to supplement. I refused and woke up every 2-3 hours to feed. Once his weight was fine, I fed on demand.
