Breastfeeding drama?

I'm almost done with being pregnant! (woohoo) but that means that I am embarking on a new journey. I plan to breastfeed my baby, but I was wondering if any women had negative experiences in public with breastfeeding. I'm planning to be discreet, but I don't necessarily think that is a requirement. Did any of you ladies get flack for public breastfeeding and how did you handle it?

Well 5 years ago, I got over 50 women to breastfeed in the mall because this man called the cops on me while breastfeeding (fully covered) in the food court. I got a ticket for public indecency which I fought and got news stations involved. I think it's perfectly natural to breastfeed in public especially when u cover up and don't have ur boobies out

I think if you're respectful of other people they don't care. I have a much bigger problem with moms changing their babies diapers out in the middle of public places. Just go to the restroom! Don't do it in a booth at a restaurant!

I usually cover up, and haven't been judged for it. However I don't feel comfortable nursing in public without covering myself. I also pump & refrigerate/freeze my milk. Thankfully my daughter has latched on with bottle, boob and pacifier since she was 3 days old. So I can just grab a couple of bags of milk when we go out and pour it into a bottle when we're out in public if I don't feel comfortable.

I always used a  cover but I never once even got a stare. I think the amount of flack you hear about people being is a little exaggerated

Never anything negative but I did have a creepy dude(old man) watch me while I fed my dd. It happened to be the very first time I was brave enough to bf in public, at the fair. My husband was right beside me and when I was done he called out to me from his stand "congratulations not many women do that these days"!!! 😳
