Confused. Thought my period started?

I'm confused. I thought I started my period this morning as I've had cramping and red medium flow like bleeding but as the day goes on it's continuing to get lighter and lighter and the cramps are starting to go away. This is just really weird for me. Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

I am now. And the same thing happened to me last month. I don't know what's going on though.
