Dogs and baby

I have two Pekingese. They were both owner surrender to the shelter because they didn't behave around kids. We adopted them 4 and 5 years ago before we decided to have a baby and now I'm stressed about what is going to happen. I've had them around nieces and nephews 3-8y/o and they've been fine but not a baby. Does anyone have experience with this or book recommendations that might help us prepare? I really want to make it work but safety of the baby comes first obviously.
