When does the "don't lay on your back" rule apply?

I just entered the second trimester, I'm 14w2. I still lay on my back. Do i have to follow this rule yet?

My dr said you can lay on your back as long as you're comfortable. Your body will start to give you signs that it could be causing harm (dizzy, short of breath, numbness in your legs/feet.. Etc). I was laying on my back until around week 30. I'm 36 weeks now and if I'm on my back too long I start to get a pressure in my face with shortness of breath.

They say u shouldn't lay on your back because it restricts blood flow to the baby!!! The left side is the best!!! But I kno laying on your back is more comfortable my baby even moves more when I'm on my back I think she hates it lol

Wow I've never even heard of this before!!!! I am always sleeping on my back for the most part and I'm 25 weeks tomorrow. BUT I do get dizzy a lot so maybe this has to do with it? Deff following to see what everyone else is saying!

Once my daughter start losing space in utero I just slept on every side except my stomach. I'm 38+3 and the struggle to stay comfortable is real.

My doctor told me at 16 weeks to start trying to avoid sleeping on my back. I lay on my back during the day every now and then, like when I'm just laying on the couch or whatever, I just try not to sleep on my back since she advised me not to.

Check with your doctor but mine said it isn't dangerous so if you wake up and you're on your back not to freak out. He said that it becomes hard to breath and uncomfortable so you will naturally roll to your side. Which has been very true! I am 37 weeks and for the past like 10 weeks I can only lay on my back if I'm propped up with lots of pillows because my boobs and all the fluid try to suffocate me lol!

I'm 30wks and I'm only comfortable on my back lol you're good for awhile still. If you start getting a tingly or numbness in your legs or feet while laying on your back then roll to your left
