My boyfriend thinks that wearing a condom is less intimate because his cum does not actually get inside of me.. Do other people think this is true?

It doesn't make it less intimate.  Don't let him talk you out of making him wear a condom just because he wants to cum inside you. There's too many risks involved in that. 
If you decide you want him to have that honor then get on birth control before.

My SO has never worn a condom (he's only had sex with me and I'm on the pill) but I honestly hate the mess it makes inside me. It smells so bad 😷 and it's so messy. I feel like I'm sitting in a pile of blood and I'm on my period. I wish he'd wear one but
I know that it feels weird if he does for both of us.

It can sometimes effect the feeling for the male. My boyfriend says it does and hates wearing them. There are thin ones you can buy but I would reccomend being on the pill just incase. It all depends on the males view on them.
