Help !!

I noticed some spotting when I went to the restroom but only when I wiped, I'm not bleeding on my panties. It only went on for about 2 hours. Yes, I am about to start my period but I've never spotted before my period, ever. Yes I'm on the pill, I've been on it a while now. I'm not pregnant nor do I have STD, UTI, bladder infection etc. I read online that rough sex can cause bleeding. Me and my boyfriend have been having a lot of sex lately and my sex drive gets super high when I'm about to start my period so I do like rough sex. We had sex once last night and twice today. Could that be a reasonable explanation for the blood?
