I've been keeping my regular appointments every 8 weeks, so the first time I had it done I was 7 weeks pregnant, I'm now 24 weeks. I get highlights or low lights. As long as the dye doesn't touch your scalp, it's safe and you can request special dye if you are concerned. Most salons are well ventilated and it's not an issue.  Or ask your doctor first.

It won't hold for a lot of people. They recommend waiting until your second trimester or using an oil based (no ammonia) in your first trimester. If you go to a salon it might be okay because it's a lot more ventilated then say your bathroom. I'm waiting just to be safe.

I dyed mine at 7wks not knowing I was pregnant yet and it washed out in 2wks. I don't think it hurts any, but just a waste of money in my opinion.
