Boyfriend lied

So I found out today my boyfriend lied to me about something small, as a child I was lied to by my mum and dad about seeing them (lived in care with grandparents) and when I get lied to it triggers unwanted memories. I honestly don't no what to do, I love this boy but why would he lie to me he knows about my childhood and I feel as if I could never trust him again as I will always feel he is lying. What do I do girls please help me out
