Can stress make your period come early

Im asking because I just ended my last period exactly 2 weeks ago and my next wasn't due for another 2 weeks and I just started again today. I know that stress can make your period late but can it do the opposite too? I've been extremely stressed out and I'm wondering if this could be the cause.
