Reveling gender...

So I posted about this a while ago saw such cute things I'm just curious those that had gender reveal parties did you moms know before? Like at the anatomy scan did you say don't tell me or wtvr? Was it more exciting to find out at the party? I'm unsure how to pull this off. My husband wants to come to the anatomy scan but then he's thinking we'll ask the gender but that sort of defeats the purpose of the gender reveal party. We also want it to be just him and I in the room at the anatomy scan so if i wanted to let's say wait and make a party how would I go about this is there any way?
