Oops! Fractured foot

So for roughly 3 months now I've been having a lot of pain in the top of my left foot. I went and seen the podiatrist on Monday and well what I thought was just sore ligaments was actually a fracture! Its still extremely sore and my mom is pressing to have a second opinion; due to family history of an extra bone in the foot. She's concerned that I might have it and fractured it as well. There's no taking it easy for this woman!
