Terrified of flying

Iwould LOVE to go to Santorini, Greece BUT im terrified of the idea of walking inside a plane and the doors closing and just thinking "Thats it, i will either make it safe to my destination or crash" I know theres a higher chance to die in a car crash. Anyways i was told that your doctor can prescribe some pill that makes you "relax" during your flight. Is that true?
