Would it be weird to invite a guy I like over to my house?

I kind of like this guy, I've liked him since the middle of 8th grade and I'm going into my freshman year of high school (I'm 14). We've been really good friends since 6th grade when we met in gym class and stood up for me to this kid who was being a dick to me and is one of my closest guy friends. I kind of want to invite him over since we've hung out many times but how do I invite him over without making him think that I want to shag him?
