My Opinion on Abstinence

Okay, before I write this, I want to say, I'm not trying to put anyone down or call out anyone who chooses to have sex as a teenager!! Please keep this in mind as you read this. I want to say, I'm sooo glad I chose abstinence. I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore in high school. When I look through posts on Eve, I see all these posts about girls between the ages of 13-17 who are either pregnant, ttc, or worried they're pregnant. It honestly makes me worried reading their posts. When you're 13, 14, or 15 years old, you can't get a job, drive a car, have your own house, let alone support the life of another human being. Yes I understand sex is pleasurable and there are ways to prevent pregnancies. I understand birth control or condoms fail. But what I don't understand is why you'd want to chance that, and have a baby come in the way of your life. Yes I've read posts from women in here who finish high school, go to college, and have amazing careers. But is it all worth the stress, anxiety, and fear everyday for 9 months? Waiting till you're financially stable or in a committed relationship to start having sex just in case something were to happen, wouldn't that be the best option? I don't want rude comments saying 1) Not your life so leave them alone 2) Not everyone has the same view point as you 3) stop judging. because I'm not judging in any way, I'm simply just wondering why you'd want to jeopardize the rest of your life when you can wait till you're ready? Posting anon bc I know how brutal some people can be
