When did your LO start babbling?

Hi mommies!! When did your little one start babbling? Mine started cooing at around 3 months and then stopped. Now he is 7 months. Mostly he just squeals and blows raspberries and some aahs and ooos in between. Not much at all!! No consonants for sure. Physical milestones: he started rolling ovee around 51/2 months and was sigting unassisted from 6 months. He still cannot pull himself into sitting and shows no signa of crawling. No teething as well. He is extremely social and great eye contact. Should I be worried?

We just have a standard monitor. He hated his cot mobile would just scream at it constantly so we have taken it away. Bless him. Its so cute to hear him. He talks himself back to sleep. Bless him. Xx

Every monring he wakes at 5:30 we can hear him on the monitor he just lies there talking to his bunny until he falls back to sleep is so cute. Hes very noisey. My friends lil boy is the same age and doesn't make any noises, where as Oliver is always talking. They are all different at a baby group we go to there is a lil boy there who is 10 months and i've never heard a sound out of him. (Apart from crying) i wouldnt worry too much they all do things at there own time. All i get is that Oliver dad and lil mans cousin started crawling at 6 months, but he just isn't interested

If you are worried you should talk to your doctor. Our son, 7 months old, took a brief break in babbling around 3 months but started back up around 4 months. Sometimes we try to get him to talk by reading to him often and he seams to talk back a lot when we do that. We also sing to him. We use Amazon prime music app and listen to everything. We are on Sinatra now. But we sing single notes like ba-ba-ba-ba and he has started minicing us back. Just some ideas. He's not really a spontaneous chatter. I think he learned early on that there is a point to talking so he just talks when he means to.

I don't think you should be worried since every baby is different. My daughter is 6.5 months and blows raspberries and just barely started saying "yayayayayaya" and only does it sometimes. No real consonants yet. But if you are worried def talk to your doctor

My LO is similar when it comes to talking/babbling. She's usually pretty quiet unless she wants something, in which case she usually squeals very loudly. I didn't start talking until I was 3 though, so I'm not worried.

My lad started cooing etc at 3months by 5 months could say muma now 6 months hes constantly tlking to his bunny. Says bubba, mumma, nana attempts dda. Hes always tlking. He sits unaided can roll but wont and not interested in crawling only on standing all babies are different and grow and learn things at different rates
