Ftm induce help!

Im due this friday. I went to the doctors this past Friday i was 80% effaced but not dialated. I dont have another appointment until this friday(my due date). I really want my baby to be born on her due date or before. Can i call and talk to them about inducing me friday? Would they consider it over the phone or do i have to wait until Friday?! Help me out mommas!!
