When will I get an ultrasound?

So, I made my first prenatal apppintment. I'm 5 weeks today and my appointment is Sept. 6, I'll be 8 weeks by then, but they said I won't see a doctor my first appointment. Most people I know get to at least hear the heartbeat of the baby by 8 weeks, so I'm just a little confused.

When did y'all see your baby, or hear it's heartbeat?

My first appointment I just saw the nurses and they took labwork. I went back a week later to see the doctor and get my dating scan.

Hey, that's exactly the same date that I have my first appointment with the midwife!! I found out last week and I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I'll obv be 8 weeks on the 6th when I see the midwife! But I was told I won't have scan until 22 weeks

I had an ultrasound done at 6w2d and we got to hear the heartbeat then. :)

Had a dating ultrasound at 8 weeks and didn't hear the baby until 13 weeks

My OB does first scan second appointment as well and usually around 10 weeks.

The first appointment I just met with the nurses and they did the urine sample, blood work, and medical history. Then at my 12 week appointment I met with the doctor and had my first ultrasound.

I heard the heartbeat and got a ultra sound at 7w2ds! I don't know why you wouldn't get to see your doctor because some people are high risk ☹️
