Does your partner get to cut the cord after a csection?

I go back to the dr on Thursday, and plan on asking my dr. Currently I'm 36w5d, with a repeat csection scheduled for 39 weeks. With my first child he was in distress so his father didn't get to cut the cord...if things go "according to plan" in a csection does the person with you have the option to cut the cord?

My sister in law had her 3rd c section and the Dr offered for my brother in law to cut the cord he didn't but I think it might depend on your dr

The suregeon cut mine but left enough for my partner to cut away afterwards
