Difference between newborn and 0-3 months clothes?!

When will baby start to fit into 0-3 months typically ?

They say newborn is from 5-8 lbs, however, my daughter is about 8.5 lbs and some newborn clothes is still huge on her. I think it depends on the brand too!

My almost 3 month old still wears some of her newborn clothes. She's pretty slim so most 0-3 month clothes are just so big on her. I feel like newborn clothes fit slim babies better than 0-3 month clothes. My baby is 11 lbs and like I said, plenty of newborn things still fit her.

It all depends on how big your baby is at birth. My youngest was 9lbs at birth and went right into 0-3z

My son is a month old and still fits in newborn clothes he weighed 7 lbs at birth and regained his lost weight after 2 days and is gaining weight fast but I feel like even every newborn clothes runs different...

My babies were 8lbs 13 and 8lbs 11 at birth and fit into newborn for a couple weeks then into 0-3. 0-3 isn't all that much bigger. Some bigger babies go right into 0-3. 😊

Newborn is from about 5-8 lbs, 0-3 is 8-15 lbs so most babies skip newborn sizes🙂

Personally,  my second son was 9lb14oz when he was born,  newborn diapers didn't fit him,  the nurses had to go find size 1,  his newborn outfits didn't fit,  he was born wearing size 0-3 months.

It's really up in the air. All brands are made differently and all babies are different sizes. My son was just over 6lbs when he was born but he was long. So, some newborn clothes were a little big on him but not quite long enough. I didn't know that they make onesie extenders for the buttons. Those would have come in handy. Also, if you're like me and love putting your child in Disney and/or Nickelodeon clothing, these typically run small. We have to get our son a size larger in these brands. He's has a lot of the character pajamas. Honestly, we found 0-3 to be a little better because even if they are a little big, they do give your baby a little more growing room which comes in handy when trying to not spend too much on clothing. My daughter was born 8 lbs 9 oz, 20.5 inches and newborn fit her perfect at birth, but that was pretty much it. I didn't have many newborn outfits. Most were 0-3. Like a previous poster says, it all depends on the brand.
