Temporary nausea after eating breakfast...?
This morning I ate a small breakfast (last remains of our gluten free cereal and rice milk) and still felt hungry, so I grabbed a packet of oatmeal, and immediately felt the growing sensation that I was going to throw up. I stood still for a moment, trying to assess my body and remember what I ate for dinner last night, but my husband is fine and we ate the same thing (avocado Bahn Mi)...!
I've been taking prenatal vitamins since March, and have been off of birth control since the beginning of April. My period has been fairly regular, only it has been much shorter since coming off of BC. Lately my period starts super heavy on day one (as usual), then medium-ish on day two, then it's over! I used to have 5 heavy days of period-induced Flu-ish misery!
I felt normal when I woke up and had my cereal, felt like throwing up when I grabbed the oatmeal packet, put it back and went to the bathroom to assume the ralphing position - nothing happened - then I felt totally fine again!
I only mentioned the gluten-free and dairy-free aspect of my breakfast to expel any suggestions that I'm lactose intolerant or the gluten in the cereal made me sick. We only dabble in a few dairy-free and gluten-free things to attempt to be healthier, though we eat a little of everything in our lives, without allergies or IBS issues. I don't feel ill when I have consumed dairy or gluten (just bloat and feel full of sweet delicious regret, hahaha!)
Anyone have a similar situation, or can suggest potential causes for this random sensation? I have doubts that it's morning sickness, since my period is regular, and I don't have any other symptoms... I'm at a total loss!
Thanks!
