Am i overreacting?
My fiance and i are about to welcome our daughter in October. We both have kids of our own. His ex wife had a vaginal delivery. My sons were delivered via cesarean. Whenever we talk about birth or where our daughter will sleep he makes comments like "why isnt she going to sleep in her room off the break"? When i tell him repeatedly due to the cesarean she will have to be in the same room as me because i won't be able to move around a lot or fast as far as getting in and out of bed etc. He makes these comments and im like "no i wont be able to do x,y,z" over and over, and im growing frustrated at his lack of understanding or even listening to what I'm explaining to him. Its surgery not a shot!! So fast forward to today. We went on the hospital tour and we get home talking about preparing for her again and he makes yet another comment that made me feel uneasy once again. So i went to youtube and found a video for him to watch to show him the procedure after he made the comment of not knowing about a cesarean. He gets up from the table and refused to watch the video using the excuse that he just ate. It made me feel some kinda way. This pregnancy hasnt been easy on me and he hasnt been the most supportive either. It leaves a rather sour taste in my mouth and im really considering having my mom present as my support person instead of him because i just feel like there is fear and refusal to acknowledge what i have to endure. I've questioned vbac and was told "no". I had to bounce back from that emotionally. Having to have another cesarean in itself makes me feel blah about myself and its even worse to have a partner that seems like he isnt "concerned" or willing to learn what he clearly doesn't understand. Am i overreacting? Would you be bothered at all?
Its annoyingly frustrating smh
