Cord placement??

Question

Has anyone ever had a problem with the cord placement after the anatomy ultrasound? I had mine done last Thursday and I talked with the nurse today, she scheduled a follow up ultrasound next week and said the doctor wants another ultrasound done to recheck the cord placement but not to worry yet.

One of my babies cords is inserted into the membrane next to the placenta. I know others have the cord inserted in the side. What they would do if you have an abnormal cord insertion is watch the growth of your baby more closely with monthy ultrasounds and possible more at the end. There are also risk during delivery but I've heard of many on here having successful vaginal deliveries with either type. Good luck! Just know it's actually more common they you think and poses no real threat if monitored.

How did this turn out ? I just learned that mine isn’t attached in the middle of the placenta either and I’m kind of freaking out 😩 I have to have more in depth ultrasounds
