Is daycare so damn expensive!? I start my job next month so trying to find a daycare for my 9 month old and for 2 hours a day for my 3 yr old since my 5 yr old is in school. $200 a week for my two younger ones..... Why bother working right?? 😫😫😫

Day care is expensive because you're paying me someone to be completely responsible for your child's wellbeing. If you can't, or don't want to, stay home, A good day care and the peace of mind that comes with it is worth what you have pay.

Wow! Where do u all live? I do daycare and charge $25/day up to 10 hours a day. And siblings are $5 more per day.

At my job I was working to make $100 a week, after paying $200 for daycare and that was for 3 days a week, for 1 child. I ended up just staying home with her.

Mine will be 1500 a month 😔I'll barely be making much at all but we really want to buy a house so I'm just going to pretend we're on one income, and save whatever is left after daycare from my paycheck towards the house. Ugh.

Life is expensive. We knew way in advance what daycare, healthcare, diapers, etc would cost....i dont know how some people do it. Daycare isn't even the half of it.

My husband and I have opposite schedules. I won't subject them to daycare. We're both capable of taking care of our babies.

I know its horrible. Me and my husband work opposite shifts. But my daughter is in school so I could also take shifts while she's there.

This is why we've waited so long.  People keep asking when we're having kids and I keep asking for them to pay for our childcare.  It's more than our mortgage...avg 1800-2k month for 1 infant. 😔

I'm sorry - yes it's expensive and yes it's a tough check to cut on payday and in one foul swoop your money is gone BUT weigh the options. Maybe try to find a part time job to work after your hubs is off of work or idk. My hubs got let go 3 weeks ago from his job and we take my stepdaughters back to their mothers on Saturday and I told him to wait to start another job until after they leave. Granted we had to pay their mother 50% of daycare costs for their care there plus 100% of the daycare costs here cuz their divorce paperwork is severely outdated and done poorly but we have been better off financially on just my income than on both of ours together. Plus the girls have gotten to have LOtS of extra dad time. But yeah. It can make you tear your hair out. Good luck!!

I would be working part time just to save money. But apparently I won't save anything but $20 a week. My husband is probably gonna tell me to just stay home but I'd rather not. I've been a sahm for two years I want out of this house... If my kids can get into this one program then I'll only have to pay $45 a week. I was just ranting and people saying life is expensive obviously it is. But daycare shouldn't cost a whole paycheck. 🙄🙄🙄
