Lower back contractions??

Question

For past 2-3 wks I've been getting these spasms in my lower back and they don't really hurt, just uncomfortable. Well today I've been getting them a lot! And they are more uncomfortable than before. Could this mean baby is coming real soon or is this something else? Im only 20days from due date!

The prenatal class I took said that if you feel discomfort in your back then you should try leaving over and slowly rock back and forth, it's called sifting. This will make your baby's spine  (cause it's the heaviest part) go towards your belly button. The discomfort is from your baby leaning on your spine, spine to spine is uncomfortable. You want your babies back to be on your belly to give birth anyway.  😉
