Do you lay down after sex to help you get pregnant? How long do you lay down for?

I'm not sure if this is an old wive's tale or actually true.

I lay down and sleep until the next morning every time we had sex and I got pg the first month trying. Gl

I always thought it was an old wives tale, but during my last physical my doctor actually told me to lay down after sex. He also mentioned how I should position myself based on the direction my cervix points. Interesting stuff!
