Who has been through the four month sleep regression already???

If you've gone through it can you please share how long it lasted and if you did anything to help end it. I'm weary and desperate for positive news.

We were going on a week and a half of her waking up every 1-2 hours. She had been sleeping 8 or 9 hours straight consistently for weeks so it was super frustrating. We decided to sleep train her using the Ferber method (put her in her crib drowsy, then came in every 5 min if she was still crying to tell her we love her and pat her belly, then left the room and repeated this until she fell asleep). Best thing we ever did - first night was tough she cried for about 20 min and woke up a few times that night, BUT the second night we put her down drowsy and no tears! She fell asleep on her own and slept for 11 hours straight. She's been sleeping through the night every night since and is a much happier baby! We did the same with naps which were a bit tougher but well worth it! Now she knows how to self soothe and put herself to sleep. There are a lot of methods out there this one worked really well for us.

Please don’t deny that your breastfeeding baby is quite possibly very hungry at night at four months, even though they may have been sleeping through the night prior to this. Look at the feed — can you hear swallowing? Does your breast get softer? Is he EATING? Then don’t make him cry it out! He needs to eat….and he needs his mommy.

Nighttime is here; it’s dark, quiet, and he has mommy’s undivided attention. So he has a really great meal. Doesn’t take long — he’s pretty efficient by now. But it is down to business and complete.

Two weeks! But during those 2 weeks developed eating 2 time at night and we still do that! 👎🏽

Still going through it now! He used to sleep 8 hours before waking for a feeding... Now we are lucky if he sleeps 4 hours before waking... My husband try's to put him back to sleep, but our little guy wants to be nursed... I hate to start a nursing sleep association, but he is hungry and nurses for a half hour before I put him back to bed!

I am going through it! And it got ecen qorse after his 4 month shots!! I am currently trying to follow this schedule from weebeedreaming.com I am doing a mix of the 4 month and 5 month schedule so we deopped one nap but he still nurses every 2.5 hrs. At night i only nurse him twice and any other time he wakes up I calm him down and put his hands close to his face so he self soothes. Its been working really well and he has been going down for naps and bedtime really fast and with little help from me. I dont do CIO so whenever he cries I pick him up and calm him before trying to put him down again. It has been helping a lot!!

Try the Baby Merlin Magic Sleepsuit! It doesn't work for all babies  but it's worth the try when youre desperate. Works for my LO and my cousin's!

Have you tried using a sleep schedule? I used the 3 month one for breastfed babies (she's not on solids yet) from babysleepsite.com and after sticking to it for a week she was back to sleeping 8 hours a night.

I say a week or so. Really can't do anything to help just have to go through it. It was tough. Just hang in there.
