How long did you have to wait for your ultrasound?

It's driving me crazy because I want to see my baby, I'm 13 weeks on Wednesday, and my doctor won't book me an ultrasound until I'm 17-20 weeks along. It's just very frustrating when I haven't even heard the heart beat yet either. 😔

Unless you are high risk or history of mc where I live you typically only get one us around 20 weeks. They only do a dating scan if you don't know when you got pregnant or know the start of your lmp. It's normal. But if they didn't find a heartbeat by 13 weeks I'd really harass your dr for an us to make sure everything is ok! Good luck

If you're not high risk,  you typically get two your entire pregnancy; one to confirm and date gestation early on and an anatomy scan at around 20 weeks.

We had a viablity scan at 8wks and we have a 12wk and a 19wk scan scheduled with the high risk OB. With my 9 month old we had 4 total, she was high risk as well.

I'm 15 weeks 4 days and I've had 3 ultrasounds so far. One at 6 weeks 6 days, one at 9 weeks 6 days and one at 12 weeks 6 days. My first and second one were viability ones just to make sure the baby was in my uterus. I got 2 because I switched doctors and the new doctor wanted to do their own viability one. Then my 12 week one was the NT scan to check for Down syndrome and other things. I have a private one scheduled in a week to find out gender and then an anatomy scan ultrasound with my obgyn on September 16th! So I definitely think every doctor is different!

My doctor does one ultrasound a month. I'm 10 weeks and I've had 2 so far. I think it just depends where you go.

20 weeks is the only one we get until after my due date. We did pay to get an early gender scan at 17 weeks, and a 3D scan at 29 weeks.

You could go somewhere else and pay for an ultrasound to be done. I'm not high risk but fortunately my doctors office started at 6 weeks and kept giving me an ultra sound (every 4 weeks?) every apt until I was about 20 weeks. Now they've stopped and they just measure my belly. But I miss seeing my little boy so I just book 3D ultrasounds. I'm 25 weeks and don't recommend a 3D ultrasound until around this time or later BUT most 3D ultrasound places offer 2D ultrasounds as well(which is what you'd get at a normal Drs office)

I had my first at 9 weeks and 2 days. The second at 14 weeks and one day, I paid for it to find out the gender $50 maybe look into that. And then I have another one this week, I'll be 26 weeks and 5 days
