So I took my 1hr glucose test and failed by about 20 or so points. I was told to fast before the one hour so I did. I also have horrible anxiety when it comes to hospitals and I was told areas can make it worse..not sure how true that is though. Anyways so I have to now take the 3hr test and im freaking out! The one hour test was horrible for me. I was shaking the whole them and sweaty and I had zero service in the room I had to wait. I was told for the 3hr test it's exactly like the 1hr test just longer. I won't be able to leave the room and ill have to sit there for 3hrs!! I had a panic attack just thinking about it. I heard that they draw your blood more than once during the 3hr test..is this true? They are having me not eat anything passed 7:30pm the night before then I get there at around 7:30am and won't be able to eat for at least another 3 hours...if they draw my blood that many times with zero food in me, isn't that unhealthy?! This whole thing seems ridiculous to me. What is the point anyways..if I never took these tests no one would have any idea anything was wrong in the first place. I'm just nervous and scared and ready for this to be over with. Any information y'all give me will be helpful 😕
