40+3 weeks help!

So this past Thursday i was only dilated a finger tip. I was told they wont induce me until 41+5 weeks because more than likely the Pitocin wouldnt work and would end up in a c section. What if 41+5 weeks rolls around and im barely dilated what happens then? Has this happened to any mommas?! Im a ftm and starting to worry!
