Red spotting 5 weeks, help?!

Ok ladies... I'm 5w3d, and I've been experiencing period-like cramps on and off all day. An hour ago, there was light brown blood on the toilet paper. I checked with my finger, and there was a drop of red blood, pretty bright. Nothing since, but I'm still cramping. Any suggestions? I'm really worried.

Go get checked out just incase. They can do blood work and book you for an ultrasound. Some  sources say spotting is normal, and it can be, but it can also be an early sign of bad news.  Just to be safe and to put your mind at ease, talk to your doctor.

I am seven weeks now and since I found out when I was five weeks I've been having cramping on and off especially if it's your first child my ob said it's normal. Also bleeding in your first trimester is normal as well. As long as it's not heavy bleeding like a period
