Teratoma Surgery

Hello Gals. Yesterday I was diagnosed with a teratoma on my left ovary. I'm scared shitless and worried about the scar this will leave behind. The surgery I'll be having is called a laparotomy and well, my doctor said that perhaps they'll have to get the whole ovary depending on how the tumor is going and  I wanted to know if any one of you has ever been through this before. I need advice. Thanks💖.
