Im 39 weeks+4 . 
.3 days till due date- so nervous first time mom but curious to know if this is a myth or if I should not have sex

Sex can get contractions going. Have as much as you'd like!

I think that mainly it's bc having an orgasm can stimulate contractions and the man's cum can soften the cervix. :)
