Not In The Mood

Kimberly🚮🚮😘 • Momma to Orion, Taurus, opinionated (sorry)

Edit: apparently it's not clear, the boy is not refusing food he does not like. He's saying he's not in the mood for whatever is cooked for dinner, and says he wants something else, like a snack food. For foods he does not like, he does not ever have to eat. But he will say he's not in the mood for a food in hopes his mom will let him eat gummies and pizza rolls for dinner.

My friend's ten year old son says at least 3 times a week that he's not in the mood for what she made for dinner.

Every time she tells him he's gonna eat it or starve and ends up letting him have what he wants.

The night I babysat, my husband told him if he didn't eat what I cooked, then all the gummy bears were going up. The kid ate dinner and asked for more.

Now if I had said that to my grandma who raised me, she would have made us wait until breakfast. If it were my son, I would have made him wait until breakfast or eat what I cooked.
