First time Anal sex

Me and boyfriend have been planing to have anal sex for awhile and I finally let him do it today. We used a lot of lubricant. It was hurt but he was super gentle so it was barable for me. Everything was good no bleeding or anything but I just want to ask anyone if there is anything I should do after Anal sex? I want to make sure everything is safe and take care of. Also my first time anal sex wasn't so good which I'm pretty sure it's normal. Will it get better? Is there any tips on this?
