Hospital stay?

How many nights do you stay at the hospital when you give birth?

3 nights after a c-section with no complications. Vaginal births at my hospital are 2 nights, I think.

I was in the hospital for 5 days with both of my kids. I had a lot of complications though. Usually it's only about 24 hours.

My hospital requires me to stay for 24 hours.  It just depends if you or your baby have any complications or what not to stay longer than the required amount of hours.

In the uk if you have a vaginal delivery with no complications you can go home same day.

I went in for a scheduled c-section on a Thursday morning. My spinal didn't take and I was put under. I had GD as well. My son was healthy with no jaundice and we went home Saturday afternoon. I could have stayed another day but I was so ready to be home.

I had son #1 is stayed in overnight as I had an epidural, but when I had son #2 at 11pm and before sending me back to the ward at 3am asked if I wanted to go home then!

I stayed 2 nights. But I had GBS. So they wanted to keep my daughter for observation.

Most hospitals are 24 hrs from the time of birth as long as there were no complications during birth/pregnancy. 
There are different things that factor in to how long you stay though. 
For example, if you test positive for group b.. That's another 24 hours. 
With my first I had gestational diabetes (another 24 hours) and group b so I stayed for 72 hours. 
This time I'm anticipating 48 hours because I don't have GD
