Crib under vent or by window?

Question

I know neither is ideal but our house is so small, the crib will be in our master bedroom. The only options are under a ceiling vent (AC and central heat) or near a window (waist high window that has vertical blinds, and a hanging thermal curtain, no cords and the side of the crib is solid so curtain couldn't get sucked through slats etc.) We plan to move by the time baby is 8 months old, so I hope she won't be standing before we move. Thanks for your understanding and advice.

I voted under vent. If the vents are metal, you can get a plastic diverter with magnets to put over vent and that will funnel air away from crib. We found ours at home depot or Lowe's where they have the a/c vents. For ours, we got the wall mount because it fit our size vent. It also expands. Been up there for 5 months with no trouble.

Sorry the pic isn't better, but I'm putting LO to bed. It is literally right above her crib. It actually makes the room more comfortable!

Could you move the furniture around? Because neither is a good spot, like you said. If someone breaks in through your bedroom window, there's baby, first to be harmed. And being right under the vent could cause breathing problems because of the dust and other things that move through the ventilation system.
