Nexplanon implant

I went about a year with an irregular period then another without one at all. Now that im getting closer to the expiration date in january ive been bleeding about 4 days every 2 weeks or so. Is this normal?? Also when my bc expires is it free to get it removed since i went the full 3 years with it in without health insurance? & if i cant am i going to be able to get pregnant with it in or do i have to go get it removed? HELP!!!
