Sleeping throu the night??

Question

When did your newborns begin to start to sleep during the night? My little angel is 9 days old and won't sleep throu the night unless she is attached to my boob,or my chest  but sleeps perfectly fine during the day..when does it get easier? Should I turn nocturnal?

My midwife initially said that we shouldn't let baby go any longer than 3 hours without feed. She seemed mortified we were considering stretching it out to 4. We were setting alarms in the night to feed him! But now we let him wake us and we can go anywhere between 3-5 hours. Normally at night it's about four which means only getting up once. But the longer he goes the more he cries when he is awake. I really wouldn't expect your baby to be going all the way through the night for a couple of months at least!

My daughter since 2 Week's has slept through the night. I didn't do anything special she just loves sleepingn

Mine MIGHT be and she is just shy of five months. I say MIGHT because a lot of times these little rascals will trick you and sleep through the night for a few days, then go back to erratic sleeping 😒. Each baby is different though so just go with the flow of your baby's sleeping cycle until you can see a true pattern.

Mine started at 10isj weeks. He's 11,almost 12 weeks now.

My first born didn't until he was like 9 months old.

My baby started sleeping through the night about 2 1/2 - 3 months and now she is 4 months and two weeks and is wanting to wake up at 4am every morning but I heard usually at 4 months they go through a not wanting to sleep stage she has also been fighting her sleep like crazy!

My daughter is 7.5 months and still wakes up at least 1x during the night. Sleeping through the night is something that everyone thinks babies should just be able to do, but the reality is that a lot of babies won't for a long while.

It gets easier in that you're not waking every 3 hours and the feeds stretch out so you can actually get quality sleep.

Mine just started and she just turned 6 months.  Every baby is different of course and they'll sleep through the night when they are ready.

It all depends on the baby. Yours may not while a newborn. That said, our baby started to at 2.5 weeks. She still wakes twice to eat, but sleeps otherwise
