Safeway line 🙄
Did groceries lastnight with my husband. Only one lady was at the deli section so I waited about 10 minutes. An older woman and her old mom looking at the pre made foods . As the daughter is looking she keeps getting closer to me and I'm thinking "damn lady do you not see me standing here?" I didn't say it because I was not in the mood to fight at that moment, I just wanted my meats .
So my usual meat slicer lady comes out and says hi and the lady says hi loud and starts to order . "Ummm no, I was here first, lady" is what I'm thinking . But still I'm not in the mood for the effort to be petty so I I ignore it .
My husband comes with bread and is like " why is she going first ? You were here first , usually you'd fight over that" .He asked me how I felt and rubbed the extra skin on my hand and he said he enjoyed that part of me . "I said if you like extra skin then you should play with my boobs" , deli lady hears and laughs . I say "well it just happened like that and I'm not in the mood today . Besides the salad is the last thing they were getting . Plus they old and probably already think I'm a angry black girl so I don't want to be a stereotype right now" The mom said "it is the last thing , then she's all yours " don't know if she was being bitchy or if it was her accent , maybe Romanian .
Deli lady is always joking with us so seeing her is always fun . She realized I was there first ( through me and my husbands conversation , we weren't whispering, which is why the older lady might have been bitchy from hearing our whole conversation about what just went down 🙂) and wasn't angry she served the others before me and said sorry then gave me like almost 1/4 pound of extra meat in my bag , after weighing it . Soooo free meat !
Glad I wasn't petty ☺️
