c sections?

just had a question for pregnant women who are having c sections or did. when did they schedule it?how much notice do they give you?I'm currently pregnant with twins and wanna know when they will tell me :)

I had one baby but my C-Section was scheduled for Monday 22nd from our appt on Wednesday the 17th. From the 32 week ultrasound she was tracking big but on that appt she looked about 8lb 10oz and I was a week from due date with no signs of dilation or effacement. I wanted a natural labor but I also didn't want my baby getting stuck in the birth canal and then having the stress of an emergency c-section. Honestly it was an amazing experience and I don't feel like I missed out on anything. Went to the hospital at 8am by 10:37am I had my beautiful baby girl. They walked me into the operating room got me sitting on the table and gave me the spinal. They helped lay me down on the table and I promised to not move my arms so they didn't strap me down. They draped the curtain up and the doctors started and my husband walked in. My anesthesiologist was great and let my husband peek over the curtain so he could see our daughter being born. She never would have fit out of me, she was 9 lbs and 22 inches long. A happy healthy baby. Had to stay and extra day in the hospital because we are Coombs positive but she's already gaining weight back. So in love...it's great for the women who are able to give birth naturally but for us it wasn't in the cards and that's ok.

They scheduled mines around 23 weeks , it is my 3rd csection, and it will be at exactly 39 weeks.

My first was an emergency but this one I have to schedule and they do it a week before your due date. You can elect to do it a little later sometimes (depending on why you need c section) but you can't do it earlier. I'm not sure if it's the same with twins though.

I'm scedruled for 39 weeks my doctor can't so sooner unless water brakes or emergency problems. The date is all ready set but not the time yet

I scheduled mine at 27 weeks. C-section is set for 37 weeks and some change. I'm hoping and praying my twins hold out until then. I'm 33 weeks 2 days as of today.

My first was an emergency c section so I'm having another. I scheduled mine at 12 weeks! My doctor gave me dates and I chose a date that worked so my husband could make sure he was off.

The earliest mine will do for Singleton is 39 weeks. They usually schedule it at about 30 weeks. We get to pick a day that has it available. Pretty much as soon as the OR schedules are released I get to schedule. So this appointment or next I will find out! I know mine will be between 12/10 and 12/17 u bless I go into labor after 36 weeks... Then its straight to surgery!

They scheduled mine for 38 weeks I didn't last that long I had them at 37 weeks but they don't want twins to go past 38 weeks
