anxiety- what does it look like for you?

I'm recently diagnosed & my boyfriend has been diagnosed for several years - his panic attacks are more of a private, pretty composed thing. I literally burst into tears & dry heave. 🙁 what does your anxiety / panic attacks look like for you? Does it get better? Can I do this without medication? Lately I've been having an extremely hard time.

I just cry and shake during my panic attacks, mine have gotten better over the last 4 years. Im here if you need to talk

Im on depression pill do to health problems that give me pain 24 7 then my doctor realized that I could not handle the pain and she told me to get something for anxiety a lot of doctor's told me to they also whant me to  go to counseling I refuse to do any because im on two other medicine for my health problems and I will not tell anyone my problems except my best friend and a long time I barely talk about it but I could not deal with it anymore so I have to tell her everything it helps me from getting to mad or have brake down I still do but she helps and trys to give me advice I really don't know what I would do with out her  and she understand that I don't fell well because she has grown up with health problems herself but best thing for me is to stay busy and pry that noone upset me like my guy

Mine are more like your boyfriend's. I have intrusive thoughts, which often increase my anxiety. It manifests as racing heart, racing thoughts, restlessness, nervousness, headaches, dizziness, fidgeting, and things like that. Rarely I'll have a panic attack.

My anxiety attacks have always been seizure-like: I shake uncontrollably and I have trouble breathing. Therapy and stress reduction were the only two things that helped without doing meds.
However, there is absolutely ZERO shame in taking medication. If you had a bad illness due to a virus, you would take medicine. Mental illness shouldn't be any different :)

I seem to get frantic and cry like you,  uncontrollable breathing and I sit down on the floor mumbling what ever is going on.

Once I am through it though things are better.   I also am trying to not hold too much in.  My break downs get worse if I don't let my issues out some how.

Exercise also helps control them and make them less severe.
